My paintings in oil reflect a love of perspective, balance, and compelling composition. Each painting explores color, design, and balance with an overwhelming focus on light and its effect on the subject. Often there is a sense of quiet solitude in the painting, whether it is a still life, interior view, exploration of architecture or a landscape.

I love the beauty of a straight line, the curve of a bowl, the tranquility of nature or the mystery behind a door. Much of what I paint reflects back to my love of design and gardening and how each represents a different canvas in which to create something beautiful and unique.
